I can't believe my senior project will be over in the next two days! It went by so quickly, and I have learned some important lessons that I will apply for the rest of my life.

Ellie and I met with Yosef last Wednesday and had a debrief of the gala the day before. The gala went better than we could have imagined. The event had a fantastic turnout, with adults, teenagers, families, donors, and participants all showing their support, which gave the gala a very special atmosphere. Everyone spoke highly of the event's live music from the Friendship Circle band's performance. It was so cool to see everyone turn on their phone flashlights as the band brought the community together through dancing and Jewish music. Yosef expressed his gratitude for all of the work Ellie and I accomplished over the past two weeks. He appreciated us for choosing to complete our senior project at the Friendship Circle and for persevering during the days leading up to the gala, which can be incredibly stressful. FC is a small organization that is constantly in need of volunteers and helpers, so it made me feel good to be able to assist with the biggest event of the year.

There were still a few things we needed to complete even after the gala was done. We had to finish 18 gift bags for some teen volunteers who either didn't get one or were unable to attend the gala. We also had an idea to mail letters of appreciation to the families, donors, and teens who attended the event and supported Friendship Circle.

In a week, Friendship Circle will be holding summer camp, which is the next major occasion on the agenda. I created a flyer with important details that we will post on social media to recruit more camp counselors.

  1. Indeed, we are coming to the end of project, so getting really close to graduation! The flyer looks great, a contribution that will carry on into the future!
